Yeah walking by this one, it seems like this is popular with students too, probably with the competitive pricing, and I've seen multiple instances of people moving in too. Seems like all the recent new rentals downtown are chugging along nicely.

Any word on CRU interest for this one?

Probably just the usual beauty salons or liquor stores.

They wanted a restaurant in one space and were hoping for a spa/wellness centre in the other, but who knows.

Doesn't almost every building want something like this? Now what they get may be a different story.

Edmonton House by the sounds of it.

*odd, an original report had Edmonton House, but I guess not.

Two years of very low numbers of people coming downtown during COVID did kill off a heck of slot of retail downtown. It was like a forest fire, only the most resilient and fortunate survived.

People are back downtown now in fairly solid numbers during the week and for events, but unfortunately new retail does not pop up right away to fill all the empty spaces.

This is a good retail spot and hopefully it will eventually be filled. However, I suspect the owners priority for now is filling the residential space first.
