Barcelona is my favourite Spanish city - perhaps because it’s the most European of the Spanish cities. While I prefer it to Paris, it won’t displace Amsterdam on my list. There is a Catalonian haughtiness - reminiscent of Paris - that is somewhat offsetting although, like Amsterdam, the ease of communicating in English is much better than in Paris. There is also an innate/palpable fondness for Canada and Canadians in the Netherlands that is unmatched anywhere else in the world and which imposes an obligation to remember our own history that is too readily forgotten elsewhere, including at home.

Having lived in Europe for 4 1/2 years I wholeheartedly agree with the Canadian sentiment evident in the Netherlands -- Vimy Ridge and the Canadian WWII effort generally has been well appreciated throughout the land. Whenever Canada and Canadians stand in the breach it creates endearment -- I recall my trip to New Orleans just after the Americans were "snuck" out of Iran in the "Canadian Plot" -- I didn't have to buy a single drink the whole time I was there (showing ID for alcoholic compliance) -- a good thing and a bad thing, all told.

I am sssoooo sick and tired of stoopid Yankee sports writers that have NO CLUE what they are apparently making predictions on.......

"top-end play was enough to overwhelm a deeper team...." The Oil had 10 players with 2 goals in that LA series, in fact, that series was the complete opposite of so-called (top-end) play.

Grrr.........

Since I'm a "Vegas guy," I am genuinely interested as to what Hotel the Team is staying in. New York, New York would be the most convenient but would they stay at a massive Casino hotel or perhaps at Vdara (casino-less) hotel? Or Somewhere off strip?

Really?! Really "FLAMES NATION?!" "Hopefully, the Golden Knights can earn a split before heading to Alberta .........."

First of all, way to cheer for the only team from Alberta in the playoffs. 2nd, how about saying "before heading back to the Provincial Capital?"

Their jealously is really oozing out on this story.
