Jay Farrar and the guys from Uncle Tupelo are from Southern Illinois so I can understand why Farrar is a St. Louis Blues fan - buy have no idea why Ozzy supports the team.

Just watched the excellent "Becoming Led Zeppelin" on Netflix that documents their early years from inception through the creation of the Led Zeppelin 1+2 albums. Their second tour of North America only included two Canadian dates - Vancouver and Edmonton. Zep played the Edmonton Gardens on May 9, 1969 to support their first album. They only visited three Canadian cities on their third tour of North America - Vancouver, Toronto and Edmonton. They played the Kinsmen Field House on July 29, 1969. What a show that must have been.

I'm not sure why you guys are that excited for Trooper. Ra McGuire and Brian Smith retired a few years ago.

Stopped by the Purple City Music Festival to take in some wrestling and rock'n'roll!

Will be a lot of people here on the weekend.

Morgan Wallen is performing at Commonwealth Stadium Friday, September 12, and Saturday, September 13 for his I’m the Problem tour.

Weather looks great.

I went to the Marie Davidson (and various openers) show. It was sick. I wasn't a huge fan of her music but she has an incredible presence, and somehow she has this sort of vampiric look to her that's rather fitting.

^ Very often live performances can absolutely flip the image of a performer from bad to good (unfortunately the other way around too).

Why do we have to present it as 'a world class concert'?

I'm no fan, but he's arguably the biggest singer in country music today and only doing 10 cities and 19 dates on this tour... Edmonton getting two of those dates is worth some hype. (We all know this doesn't happen without Commonwealth.)

I'll welcome all the revenue into the local economy he's bringing this weekend.
