Those 3 story walkups in former oliver saved the dt core during the hard days in the 80’s/90’s

They were a decent size and reasonably priced.

Yes, a downtown that oddly during this hard days, which I still remember well, seemed to be doing better than now. Those modest income people took the bus from Oliver to downtown.

Some of the nicer newer buildings I think they just drive from their parkades to strip malls. In any event developers seem full of excuses to justify their current crap and everyone else is frankly getting tired of it.

I think I'm gonna be sick 🤢 Downtown deserves better than this garbo.
 
Given the former use, i'm guessing a phase 3 will be required ie. digging it all out and bagging it for proper disposal.
 
I remember younger me lurking on here years ago really looking forward to earlier proposals on this site, it's hard to be anything but very disappointed with the current rendition. Would like to see it not move forward at all honestly. What could have been... Does anyone have the earlier renders of the two tower proposal before these?
