Looks like KLM must be doing well. Now they have a 787-9 (294 seats) loaded on the YEG-AMS route October 24-November 18. Previously they had a 777-200 (288 seats) which was already an increase from the present A330-200 (268 seats). The 777 is back in the schedule from November 21. Business class seats increase as well from 18 to 30.

KLM if I’m not mistaken, is (slowly) retiring their A330’s fleet of planes ✈️, since 2020.

KLM is also using a mix of Boeing 777/787 planes for Calgary YYC, Vancouver YVR, Toronto YYZ & Montreal YUL on flights between Canada 🇨🇦& Netherlands 🇳🇱too. Same now for Edmonton YEG too.

Oh, if you already knew that the 787 was coming to YEG you should have told us! Why didn't you mention it originally?
 
The August numbers seem very good, ahead of 2019 and still a fairly strong percentage increase in transborder and international.

No doubt it was a big disruption and set back that we were not one of the airports allowed to have international travel during COVID, but that is now in the past and we are getting over that.

Just a small quibble that it was only international inbound that was restricted. YEG kept on to the outgoing service with KLM running a triangle route with arrival into Calgary and departure from Edmonton back to Amsterdam. I hope YEG is looking into future pandemic/ emergency preparedness and making sure it's on feds list of airports that have to maintain service. It's a vital lifeline for the city, province and larger region.
 
Flair adding YKF (3x weekly) to their 2024 schedule. Cutting Vancouver to 2x daily from the 3x daily they had this summer.
 
I am only speculating but it sounds like the entire upper departures area structure may be coming out and being redone. I haven't seen any renders
