Demand has been steady but has slowed. This is not to say that it's dropped off a cliff or has shifted in favour of the renter, but it has 'softened'. Reality is we are experiencing high growth and this is expected to continue even as the Fed tighten the immigration spigots. Edmonton will continue to benefit from the flight to affordability. I suspect that we might see this tower position itself to start in 2025.

I wouldn't be surprised because we have several projects downtown being completed now and earlier in 2024. So after they start to fill up and if demand continues to grow, something started in 2025 should be completed at a good time.

Strange…..I thought Katz bought the land for the old homeless shelter…..thusly followed by a quick demolition……here it says they are a “non-participating land owner.”

This isn't going to be a small building at $200 million.

Construction will need to start this year for these deadlines to be met.
Sorry? These 3 buildings are going to cost a cumulative $200M? Or they are not? Please clarify

I'd still really like to see something built above the Connect Centre. Even a 15-20 storey tower would add alot of life to 103rd St.

Not possible. I'd expect each highrise to be around $200-300 million.

^ A 42-storey tower above the existing foundation infrastructure in ICE would cost ~$80 million leaving $120 Million for a 27-storey High rise connected to a 7-storey mid-rise with a revamped Mac Historical refit on 105th Avenue. This is possible.
