Honestly blows my mind this hasnt been built yet. Like I know the market isn’t amazing. But surely a 30-40 story rental building would do great here.
I think we just needed to wait for interest rates to come down, cause demand is picking up.Honestly blows my mind this hasnt been built yet. Like I know the market isn’t amazing. But surely a 30-40 story rental building would do great here.
I wouldn't be surprised because we have several projects downtown being completed now and earlier in 2024. So after they start to fill up and if demand continues to grow, something started in 2025 should be completed at a good time.Demand has been steady but has slowed. This is not to say that it's dropped off a cliff or has shifted in favour of the renter, but it has 'softened'. Reality is we are experiencing high growth and this is expected to continue even as the Fed tighten the immigration spigots. Edmonton will continue to benefit from the flight to affordability. I suspect that we might see this tower position itself to start in 2025.
For both this and the Ice District Village too. We're probably going to need a crane count metric now lolThis isn't going to be a small building at $200 million.
Construction will need to start this year for these deadlines to be met.
Sorry? These 3 buildings are going to cost a cumulative $200M? Or they are not? Please clarifyThis isn't going to be a small building at $200 million.

Not possible. I'd expect each highrise to be around $200-300 million.Sorry? These 3 buildings are going to cost a cumulative $200M? Or they are not? Please clarify
