Sorry to clarify, but yeah we're getting something involving the event park tomorrow :)
The Event Park as in the Event Park that raises its canvas roof and holds various Conklin Midway rides, “B” grade concerts and acts as an overflow for “the Moss Pit?” What am I missing here? Lol

They have plans to make it a much more permanent space and midsize concert venue while still remaining flexible. I don't imagine the full $300M would go towards this, but a chunk.

I hope money is 99.9% happening for Coliseum demo worth $38 million since Saddledom has provincial money - even though I would have preferred Coliseum repurposed.

I really do hope that today's Alberta budget includes both the fan park and the Coliseum demo. But like I said yesterday, I ain't holding my breath. After all, let's not forget that this province is ruled by the United Calgary Party.

We're getting some stuff in the budget but yeah Calgary is still the favourite child.

I forgot all about that building……
I was going to say that Image looks like the proposal for Quebec cities demolition of the old Coliseum.
I was deep down hoping that image was just a placeholder and not what is proposed….

$80.5 million for the event park, $2 million earmarked for this budget year, $15 million in 2025-26 and $35 million in 2026-27
There's also funding for the demolition of the Coliseum, and site improvements to support the Exhibition Lands redevelopment. Speaking of which, the CRL extension is partly to support the servicing for Village at Ice/Phase 2 of the Ice District.

We've also got some funding on the Winspear and a $20 million increase to the GIPOT program so the city got a pretty decent windfall here financially so far.
