My dad is visiting from Saskatchewan and is staying at the Varscona. From his room you can see this tower and he made the comment "the skyline is beautiful outside except for that huge new tower." Now keep in mind, a tower for where my dad is from is 8 stories. I then explained to him that the plan is to have 3 towers eventually and since Edmonton is growing so fast, the city is trying to densify areas within the Henday. He didn't have any further comments haha

It's also ironic to appreciate a skyline that can only be seen from an elevated viewpoint, and then complain about other elevations in your view.
