That isn't the lot I would worry about. The community league is incredibly well used and that little lot hosts multiple outdoor markets a week during the spring, summer, and fall. A little funding from the City would go along way. The bigger problem is the acres of empty lots for Expo Centre that are only used for 10 days a year. If folk fest can make it work without parking, so can K days. That and the giant hole in the community that is the coliseum.

That parking lot gets more use than kdays. Volleyball nationals fills that entire thing for 2 weeks in May, fanexpo fills it when it’s there, to name a few. Many, many of those out of town guests. I agree that it’s underutilized for long stretches, but if we just wave a wand and make it go away I’m not sure what the future is for the expo Center.
