Lots of speculation but it will definitely be a much more decentralized operation and any adds to Edmonton region will be Strathcona. Would be shocked if they close Quarry Park just to open a office in Downtown Edmonton (even if much smaller).

I'm almost certain it will be the Industrial Heartland.
It goes without saying that I hope they establish an office in the downtown financial district.
With oil prices languishing for months now, I suppose those Calgary office reductions are not a surprise. It would be good if they set up something downtown too, might save some travel to Calgary for their local staff.

Decentralization of an integrated producer sounds to me like they're tooling up to sell/spinoff one or more of their major business units.

Not even a sniff on the YYC forum yet……YYC’ers are very good at not admitting when their city falters in any way, shape or form……

Exactly! AFTER the 20% head count reduction, the rest to YEG or Sarina.

Kinda like when I worked for CNRL - boss used to say, “unless there is oil coming out of non-producing assets, they won’t put money into it.”

I'm going to wait for the news tomorrow. That, to me, is a more prudent move than jumping to conclusions with rumors and hearsay.
