I wonder if councillors would know the TV audiences for Oilers games, or how many come down to visit the Ice District (I’m guessing close too 30,000). I think they should be more concerned about that rather than worry about kicking out drug users.

I say this every single year, but can someone please explain to me why we do not do a major cleaning, power washing, bannering and overall tidy PRIOR to national and international media arriving for the Stanley Cup playoffs?

A few sweepers have been out, but generally the Downtown looks pretty bad still.

Do we simply not care? Is there no one leading this and ensuring that PRE-major events that this happens?

It's so disheartening.

There's also this, if anyone cares.

A crew is out on 103st south of ICE as we speak with folks coming to park pre-game and going to and from restaurants.

Odd timing of this, but beggars cant be choosers I guess. Mind you, a block south tells another story.
