Once the 4 corners of that one traffic circle are done. That feels like the “it’s worked” moment to me.

Doesn’t mean it’s been a full success, but it’s not a failure anymore.
I think it would be more "it's working" for me. I really do think they are executing this current phase well, especially from a walkable, not car-centric pov, and the townhouses are pretty impressive but a part of me wishes they simultaneously prioritized the northeast section with all the medium density. But i know living next to Yellowhead construction and EPCOR and the City's yards isn't an ideal starting point lol. Still kinda criminal that they haven't started anything near the LRT station.

Also this might have already been covered, but they've started demo'ing the old Spar Aerospace Hangars (big blue ones) on the west side.

Rezoning for some of the medium density just north of the NAIT lands is going to council in early February and the development office has indicated that planning is underway for the lands immediately next to the NAIT LRT station, so we are getting there!

There is excitement in the neighbourhood because a moving truck showed up and was actually unloading into one of the Carbon Busters homes.
That makes two occupied homes now, right? The Carbon Busters website has said for months now that only one unit is remaining, so I really wonder who bought up the rest.

The weird thing is, the one that was being unloaded into was at the north end of the block and it appears to be one of the less externally complete units. And yeah, if this is an occupant, that would make two (the other one I've met at a number of neighbourhood events).

Note: Construction, in this context, refers to roads, utilities, etc. that Edmonton puts in before selling the land to developers.
Here's an updated map from December, for comparison. They're now planning the green space behind amiskwaciy academy and a little bit more of Blatchford Market, the NAIT lands are done, and it looks like they also started constructing the second pond.

The Council report just came out:

This is what Streetside's new 900sqft bungalow style townhomes for $480k will look like.

Surprised these are allowed in blatchford…

They don't look terrible, but a strange design choice given the inherent land inefficiencies of bungalows. Not sure how the economics pencil out in this housing market
