Talk about an IDEAL hotel site.
I know I keep beating the Alt/Germain drum, however I think the Jasper/99 St corner can be another missing hotel brand such as an Intercontinental or a Radisson.

Big problem with the LRT tunnel under there.Talk about an IDEAL hotel site.
Yeah, nothing major will ever go on that site.Big problem with the LRT tunnel under there.
This is one of the few nicely developed plots in the CBD, I can't fathom it being turned into something else when this is just down the road...

I dunno about this. It might not be "heavily used" in the sense of attracting a lot of people to hang out, but I like to think it's heavily appreciated in the sense that you can walk or drive by it and enjoy what it offers: pretty green space and a nice view of one of our most cherished DT properties.Working next to it for the past decade - the park isn't heavily used.
I always loved the name for that proposal. More specifically, back in the day wasn't the proposal called The Eyrie? That made it even cooler. There have been some proposals for this site, including the infamous 'Eagle's Nest', but it is THE logical site for a ECC associated hotel that's interconnected.

It's not always about use, but often about contribution to the look/feel of an area; Downtown Edmonton disproportionately feels dart, concrete, drab and so spaces like this counteract that.I dunno about this.
