The always-ever helpful Lorne Gunter:
He says jasper ave is ripped up because of bike lanes…? Didn’t see those in the imagine jasper plans.

Cause they aren’t.

Why is this idiot so bad at basic research? This isn’t reporting or news or journalism. This is a whining, misinformed boomer, yelling lies to other boomers 🙄

hoo boy, me thinks Lorne has been spending too much time in the copier room. As a "boomer" myself, I take no stock in anything Mr. Gunter has penned. Regarding west end access, someone should introduce him to 107 Avenue.

The always-ever helpful Lorne Gunter:
Yes, perhaps we should start calling him road rage Lorne. But now I think I understand where he's coming from better, it seems he may live in the west end.

As for the theme park for the homeless, as he condescendingly calls it, perhaps we should encourage them to go west. Actually, I spoke to someone in the west end recently and it seems like it is already happening.

So it is not just a downtown problem anymore, but I assume they haven't got to Lorne's place quite yet. When they do, I guess he will have something else to rant about.

^ There's your agism creeping in again (and you talk about broad assumptions, tsk, tsk)
I knew you’d comment ahha. “Baby boomers” = generation. “Boomers” = a type of personality.

There’s also some lovely Karen’s in the world. But no one’s confused by the secondary meaning.

Lorne is as boomer as they come.

Yep, no cash or debit options it seems.

I think the city could keep a few machines operational, just like the ones in the parkades.
The easier decision would be not to spend millions to remove all the machines, that are not that old and mostly functional, as far as I can tell.

But the city loves to spend money on new things and not to maintain existing things, they are remarkable consistent, if wasteful in that way.
