forest hill Summerhill is expanding in some way.

Good, busy store, notwithstanding that the produce is usually withered and discoloured.

Really, I loved and still quite appreciate the original Summerhill Market. The added locations have all been somewhat suspect in my judgement.

Generally smaller, lacking fresh counters, most stuff done commissary style.....and you just don't see the passion in staff.

I remember popping into the one on Bathurst not so long ago..........and over heard a convo involving staff.

I mean, to the credit of the staffer in question, I over heard him saying to his supervisor that he was bored and had nothing to do, was there anything that needed doing?

Nothing wrong there...........except the lettuce was wilted, so was the parsley, it would get tossed in a No Frills as a garbage but somehow still on the shelf at Summerhill.

Reliant on their name to draw customers who don't actually care about product quality, only where they are seen to be shopping.

Make sure you get your $20/off voucher for being one of the first 100 people ;)
Whole Foods Market is closing two Toronto locations by Aug. 22, the company announced Saturday.

The locations at Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue, and in Leaside, will be closing their doors, though the company says they are still committed to trying to grow their business in Canada.

The chain says they have no plans to close any more of their stores at this time, noting the planned opening of a location at King Street West next year.

The Bayview store was cleaned out on Saturday! The place is closed now I believe. Toodles!

Very busy today at BestCo at Adelaide and Peter, did not get the voucher as a huge line at opening. Very clean store, feels pretty spacious, prices are overall good, and great selection. See wall of instant ramen, multiple unique Kit-Kat and Pocky flavours. There is also washrooms. And a bubble tea place and some seating downstairs.
