Best shot that I could manage from the train, but it does look like pier #2 is taking shape south of Dundas.
One more small step…

All the way to Dundas St again?

The section from the North entrance on Bloor up to Ernest was still closed when I checked it out this morning.

Just at a curiosity, did any UT folks here attend this evening's town hall about the Railpath? If so, do you recall what got brought up? Couldn't make it but heard there was a decent turnout.

I attended, there was a very good turnout. The location wasn't great, there were issues with not being able to hear as there were no mics but lots of discussion on the current status of the railpath and for the extension.

The current path up to Perth will be open in July. However there will be closures on the Perth to Dundas part at some point- the scope of the work is under discussion between the City and Mx. Lots of questions on why it couldn't be done in parallel.

The City project manager for the Extension was there as well. She mentioned RFPs for the extension will be out this Fall and the project is expected to be completed in 3 years.

There were some questions on the Davenport Greenway as well and apparently that is currently on time and on budget.

From the Councillors office in March of this year: "City staff advised us earlier this week they anticipate the tender going out shortly in the spring"

From Councillors office early this year:" in 2022, we were told the tender would be issued in the first half of 2023 and here we are three years later.".

People from Metrolinx in 2023:” The design of the West Toronto Rail Path has already been completed based on previous community consultation with final technical tweaks being made to prepare the design to go to tender."

People from Metrolinx in 2024: "Tendering is scheduled for mid-November this year. We expect to award a contractor by mid-June 2025.”.

People from the City in 2021:" City is finalizing the tender package with construction starting in 2022.”

The community is being BS'ed. When are people going to say enough? And how about some rent money for the RP being unusable for YEARS longer than MX promised?

I don't suppose there was any word on when the segment from Bloor to Ernest might open? Peering through the fence this morning from the Bloor bridge it seems relatively close (it looks like they're wrapping up putting in noise walls), but knowing Metrolinx that means literally nothing, it could just sit in this state for ages.
