Honestly, as much as I dislike some of these suburban planning monstrosities, it is great to see many malls adding density, housing that's walkable to places and providing a more urban option in more places.
Yes, I do feel some of the newer shopping areas are being developed with more density nearby in mind and there are also some interesting plans for residential around some older malls, such as Millwoods and Boonie Doon.Honestly, as much as I dislike some of these suburban planning monstrosities, it is great to see many malls adding density, housing that's walkable to places and providing a more urban option in more places.
I still think the placement of this building is absolutely bizarre, but I welcome more housing in the city.
This should absolutely be the norm. And look how awesome it is to have so many amenities and groceries in walking distance. The Walmart parking lot is so underused that I get away with doing car stunts and parking across six stalls in the far end, so it could stand to use some residential density there.I find commerical areas with no housing bizzare. These so called power centers should be mixed with high density residential.
I don't know if there is any land to do that at SEC sadly. This area is good for the residential right in the district. Meadows is also pretty good at having residential as well. Now if SEC could build in and around their power center that could be great.
Bury the parking lots and build where they are, and all of a sudden you have A LOT of land at SECI don't know if there is any land to do that at SEC sadly.
How is that apartment building coming along anyways at Currents? Haven't seen any updates and don't go that way much these days.
