Oh jeez! How is this a problem now?! What about the other 100+ shows that have been held at Commonwealth? No one complained then. It's part of the excitement of going to Commonwealth to see a concert.....

Did you see the peeps they were interviewing? 14 year old girls out on the town for the first time ever. My 21 year old saw GNR, Metallica and Wallen there and thought the experiences were "fantastic."

Its not an embarrassment......concourse is massive and easy to move around in....bathrooms are huge......those stadiums don't get concerts like Commonwealth....
When you have that many people there, of course it is going to be quite crowded. I think this was the largest concert in a decade or more, so while it is great to have a facility this size, is something that happens only very occasionally really such a big problem to start tearing our hair out about?

Timing of a reno might work out with the new CFL rules shortening the field by 20 yards overall (5 yards each end zone + 10 yards from field length). The field width will remain the same but those seats at the end of the field start to feel a long ways from the action.

The field should be shifted towards the north endzone. The South end can accommodate temporary stands which will bring people closer to the field (desperately needed at Commonwealth).

Grey Cup Capacity should be able to be increased to around 60,000.

The whole lower bowl would have to be rebuilt if they wanted to make any significant improvements to sight lines on the ends, especially after the field is shortened. The front row on the north end zone will be about 25 meters away from the end zone.

The bowl needs to be sunken, the end zone seating needs to be square to the field instead of rounded. The track cutouts need to be removed, the stands need to atleast be as close to the field as Winnipeg (or any other modern stadium).

Commonwealth is a disaster in it's current state.

Most other CFL stadiums will be helped by these field adjustments.
