Well, Siemens should at least be given the opportunity to adjust their bid and remove US supply chain links. The other shortlisted supplier, CAF, also builds LRVs in the US as well.
These weren't bids that were submitted. This was prequalification. Bid submittals will occur once the RFP is issued, so vendors still have time to figure out to deal with any present or future tariffs that could impact their pricing.

As for Siemens being the best choice in his opinion, I disagree. I've heard more than a few complaints out of Calgary, the latest of which is their newest S200's can't talk to their older S200's. That is a really stupid problem to encounter.

Either way, the US tariffs introduces a major biassing factor. Suppliers which did not make the prequal list could challenge the results of the RFQ.

Looks like they’re putting up a right turn signal at 114 Street SB at University Avenue, like the one at 76 Avenue or Valley Line.

They're also putting in a crosswalk on the west side of that intersection.

Took the train today at 14:00 to Clareview. Was surprised to see so many people at Corona and when the train came it was nearly full. Admittedly there was at 20 minute frequency due to track maintenance and only a three car train but still this bodes well.
