Looks good, but just to be safe, I'm gonna assume the glass is actually Hardie board.
The clear glass segment will be navy blue hardie board and spandrel and the pyramid sided podium will be flat as a pancake with tin panels.

In all seriousness though, I would think there must be more pressure on them not to VE these buildings when major hotel brands are involved?

Holy fukfoyifuvnsd shıt! That’s a good 1000x better than I was expecting. Wow.

Hahaha, brutal dig at me. But, yeah we’ll see. I have pretty high hopes for the quality of their hotel projects specifically, as brands like W, JW, Autograph, and Fairmont have fairly/very high design standards. I’m fairly confident all will turn out well.

They can make it all nice in the renderings all they want, but knowing Truman, they'll cheap out on the material to pump out more towers

Been out of the loop for the long weekend and returned to SRC to find this very pleasant suprise.

This is absolutely fabulous - I love the vertical lines, it feels very sophisticated to me. And more height than anticipated, it’s the height of the Calgary Tower so will definitely have an impact on the skyline.

To me I immediately got vibes of a modernized version of the Wells Fargo Center in Minneapolis:

You've got me curious why you'd think that, but nope!
Oh because a couple people bitched at me for my valid critique of Gallery First & Tenth 🤪 Glad to hear it wasn’t though!

I'm curious what Truman did to land these hoteliers as partners, it is an interesting pivot from a developer that will also build you a single-family home. Maybe it is that Gucci lobby, we all know once you go Gucci you never go back.
I think the demand for these kind of hotels is already there, they just needed to connect the dots.

Stay tuned, there may be yet another high end hotel coming to a downtown near you ;)
