I have also heard that this could be pivotal for the World Series' international ratings.
It could be. Certainly it will be popular in Canada. For international it is tough for games at 8:00 p.m. ET, as that's 1:00 or 2:00 a.m. in Europe, and 9:00 a.m. in Japan, so they may only get a big draw on the Saturday games there.

the Blue Jays having a Jesse Owen moment - dancing into the belly of the beast that is 'murica 2025. Not just 1990's retro but also 1930's! Time to up my blood pressure medication.

Heartbreaker for the Mariners. They've never made it to the WS and blew a 2-0 game advantage.

I've visited Seattle once around 10 years ago, had a reasonably enjoyable time, and have no personal ill will against people there. But on a current sporting level after seeing Mariner fans cheer as Springer got hurt in Game 5, it felt like poetic justice seeing him hit the game winning 3 run homer in game 7.

My European friends have the games streamed/on video after the fact.

They still find them enjoyable the next day as long as no one tells them the outcome.

When I was in Hungary this past July, I watched a couple Jays game but it was hard.

The 7:07 pm starts meant the game started at 1:07 am. I really only watched the afternoon games that started just after 1 pm.

I watched the Jays play Cleveland dubbed in Hungarian which was cool but I must say, Baseball confused the hell out of my cousins who only watched it to be supportive of me.

Yeah, baseball has a massive list of rules and strategies, but it feels like 90% of them are easy to learn and understand, and it's only that 10% which rarely come into play where unless you actually played baseball you have to scratch your head and wonder WTF is happening. So it's an easy sport for people to get a sufficient understanding of the game to enjoy even if you've never seen it before.

Cricket feels like the inverse to me. It's like you need to be an actual regular cricket player to know what the hell is going on.
