I mean, quieter on approach and louder on takeoff? Kinda cancels each other out doesnt it?
My takeaway is that sure, it's good these planes aren't louder than what currently flies in and out of the airport, but they sure aren't quieter, a message that's been repeated over and over. The planes that fly now aren't quiet, they make noise, airport workers use hearing protection, and the planes are clearly audible in videos from the mainland. With 120 'slots' per day right now and that doubling to 240 with an expansion (per the old assessment) it would a lot more frequent noise and I think that will make the waterfront a lot less enjoyable.
Certification noise levels in EPNdB (cannot be compared with dB(A) levels)
Meh. Anyone parading around the "jets are quieter" claim can feel very free to provide anything to support the claim. In 50 pages no one has.

Right but no one has said that. its all jetsjetjets and "theyre so much louder".

If they said theyre opposed to more planes itself, then id agree since a plane once per hour is way different than once every 2 minutes but thats not what people are saying
I'm confused by your argument. You seem acknowledge that it would be much louder on average, but it's a moot point because you're not seeing that argument?

Not exactly, Its not "louder" so much as "same amount as loud for longer"

Basically the same argument the leslieville losers used to argue against the ontario line.
