I think the idea is that exposed wood, like on docks, turns grey with weathering. But I imagine the final building will be pink EIFS after the value engineering.
 
I haven't really been able to grab pictures as I have been driving but they pretty well have the roundabout directly after the bridge complete as well as about a quarter of the capping on the beach front done it's very hidden but progress is actually going pretty well here
 
Dropped down by the main beach (1) today. Most public access has been blocked for construction at this point. Here are a few articles and pictures on the progress to date.

This project will include with 500 residential units 150 hotel units and 31 commercial spaces.
