I help do the phones here in the riding of Mississauga East - Cooksville.

Letting the phone ring isn't going to help your situation.

Did you simply ask the campaign offices to stop calling?

Another simple anwer is that you already voted and that should stop from calling.

They should be using a master list and if someone made a note during one of the call that you asked not to be called back, they should have stopped.

They even asked me if I wanted a ride to the polling station.
 
the NDP really needs to smarten up with their campaigning. i was a former card carrying member, had a solid NDP voting record, but about a year ago i got blitzed by them (by "them" i mean the provincial party, the federal party, jack layton's office, the provincial riding association, the federal riding association, as well as the entire field of hopefuls trying to win the nominations for the MP and MPP candidacies) and got so pissed off at the flood of promotional material that i swore i'd never vote for them again

the volume of material was sad. in two months they spent more on postage than i gave them in donations over the course of my lifetime. and that's not counting the cost of the materials themselves, or of the telemarketing, or the spam. and funnily enough, on every form i ever filled out for them i indicated that i didn't want to be contacted or have my information shared

I get dozens of updates from various campaigns as far away as Australia and England.

If you gave out your address to any previous candidates/campaigns, your name and e-mail must have been shared.

There's definitely alot of extra resources behind that riding. The Con's would love to keep Ignatieff out.

They'll also be giving an extra hand to Peter Kent in St. Paul's.
