Styrian scrambled eggs, with a subtle personal twist. Before mixing, I add eggs into a bowl along with salt, freshly ground pepper, a dash of Maggi, freshly cut green onions, and the best part of all - Styrian pumpkin seed oil. Cooked in a non-stick pan on medium heat without any added oil or butter. Utterly delicious.

And the bacon was air fried, so no work! 😂

Hmmm two things there I have yet to use in my cooking, Maggi; and Pumpkin Seed Oil. I have tasted the latter, gently nutty flavour. I like it well enough, but not so much the price point relative to same.

When I was a kid, my mom put Maggi in everything, but I have never thought to use it myself. I make do with soy sauce and Worcestershire.

I'm just happy it's grilling season again. Last few weekends at my place:

It's incredibly healthy as well. I drizzle it daily on my signature lunch salad.

The absence of vegetables in the last 10 or so posts is disturbing.

AoD

There's lots of veg in most of my posts, and in my cuisine, but I endeavour not to be repetitive in my posts, so UT tends to see experiments {the Lasagna) or unusual items done for company (two bite brownies).

I will endeavour to come up with something nice and spring like soon. I'm waiting on foragers to hit the trifecta for my annual spring pasta dish, fresh fettucini w/morel mushrooms, fiddleheads and wild leeks (ramps).

In the meantime. How about an AoD culinary masterpiece?

I've got a six year old, so there's always vegetables on the plate, they just rarely photograph nicely. But now that it's grilling season, that could change! Especially asparagus...

Grilled veggie kebabs can photo up well; I also like to mandolin zucchini lengthwise and grill that along side souvlaki chicken. Alternate green and yellow zucchini with big chunks of charred red bell pepper for a showy plate.

My 6 year old absolutely refuses to eat veggies. It's driving me nuts...

There, there... We'll pull through this, I promise.

I give you this - my homemade take on a Cobb salad:
- shredded Costco rotisserie chicken
- mini cucumbers
- pan-fried peameal bacon
- tomatoes
- avocado
- hardboiled eggies marinated in dark soy sauce
- on a bed of iceberg lettuce tossed with ranch and lots of blue cheese crumbles

My wife gave this salad a "drop-your-knickers-delicious" rating.

Finally something for this house rabbit! And yes - I was wondering why those eggs look kinda dark - never seen soy sauce eggs being used in a Cobb before!
