911s, at least some of the models, are well suited for winter and often seen at Euro-ski hills.

With winter tires, perhaps! Years ago I had a rear-wheel drive SLK and without winter tires it was the proverbial moose on rollerskates.

You have my vote for that. Gratefully, they're compulsory in parts of BC, including Sea-to-Sky up to Whistler.
