It says right on the plans the floor count + penthouse. I see them separated quite often even when the penthouse is/contains an amenity space.

this is quite clearly labelled as a 40-storey tower.

after a bit more digging, the new zoning bylaw (not yet in force) allows for an amenity area of no greater than 300m² to project above the height limit (AKA how many storeys they will say the building is for a zoning application).

so from a zoning perspective the building is 40-storeys but from a building code perspective it will be 41 storeys.

i guess it all goes back to the discussion that you and rocketphish had about how we classify our heights. zoning or CTBUH?
 
Listened to the youtube recording of the open house, nothing that wasn't in the design brief. Questions/comments re: parking, green space, wind speeds. Nothing too dramatic from participants imo.

They did lease out the shack at 1994 to a pizza place, so this is prob not happening super soon.
 
Please Park River, don't leave this for a decade. Either find a partner to build it with when you start up your smaller projects and get them out of the way... or sell it off to a developer that can build it lol.
