The Premier's meeting was in Saskatoon. But the Prime Minister usually doesn't have 40 vehicles. I'm guessing that's mainly G7 training still.

It's practice for the G7, though I'm sure Carney traveled in a motorcade when he was just here. Global TV rode along in a motorcade

Saw someone had a gender reveal with one of those exploding pink powder pyrotechnics right by the airport as he was landing, I'm sure that caused some security heads to turn lol.

Apparently CF18s were scrambled when someone flew a prop plane into the exclusion zone. Sounds like they got his attention on the final warning before they went weapons hot!

I can't imagine what it would be like to see and really feel a CF18 going all out to intercept a idiot in his plane.
I'd say I'm surprised but more and more I believe people are dumb but a person can be smart.

These tents need to be in unpopulated areas. The city should make them go to Manchester. That's at least close to a C-Train line and not that close to anyone trying to sleep.

I live pretty close to the Cowboys Park. It's audible at night. But honestly with the windows closed, it's not that loud. And again, it's 10 days. If we bring it to the suburbs, people are going to complain of the car honking and taxi/uber traffic at 2am.
The Back Alley tent is in Manchester, and plenty of homes across Macleod can hear it (especially last night at 1:30 AM).
Speaking of Stampede, looks like a new attendance record is possible. The record is from last year is 1,477,953

If Stampede continues to grow and more space is needed, Elliston Park could be a cool option for new events. Works nicely for GlobalFest! and maybe it would incentivize building that purple line...
