It's a nice little stretch of road. The stacked towns next door are really really nice. 2 churches
I agree this would be a good candidate to at least install pavers instead of asphalt. Perhaps when Bronson park or whatever it's called at the end of the street gets its eventual treatment.
The block in between Bay and Lyon has also be requisitioned as a staging area for a couple years now so that doesn't help at the moment.
Would definitely make sense to fully link Sparks to the flats when the time comes. Imagine that eh. Walk from the War Memorial all the way to the entrance to William Commanda bridge via the elevator/staircase thing and then the eventual Aquaduct "district"? Sign me up.
At this point we gotta ask... you think The Juliana is ever going to get a facelift? It's so dang ugly.. but also charming at the same time. It's hideous but iconic. In a certain way I would almost prefer it remains as is than get a conversion like that building at Lees. Personally I would be pretty picky and choosey over what materials I would like to see.
