They've got the temporary Henday exit open, a lot of the pilings for caternary poles done, and sections of road like Meadowlark complete. Some stations (like 182 Street and Glenora) are in the early stages of construction.

It's fun to see some of the infill around the line that you can see from the drone footage.
Also probably the first construction year where I think you can see massive differences and visible progress along the entire line.

There’s gotta be 30+ high quality TOD sites along this leg. Already a half dozen getting worked on, but man, so much land to fill in still.
Any ways the city can incentivize building along the line? Like a TOD grant program or something?

Saw this on Reddit but hopefully we get something similar in 104 ave a decade from now. 104 ave turning into our version of Spadina would be a win for transforming the urban fabric of that area of the city.

50% of stony plain roads needs to be rebuilt. It’s gotta be one of the worst stretches in the city at this point in terms of what it once was to what it is now.
Good things we spent millions a decade ago to replace all the sidewalks and street furniture. Totally worked, just like the quarters.

The whole stretch from 150 street to 156 street needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Even empty lots would be better than what we have now.

^^ I think some buidlings between 151 and 153 Street could be repurposed. Other buildings could be rebuilt to replicate the style of Jasper Place.

Yes, that building suffered from massive flooding issues a while back (reportedly over one million litres of water flooded into the basementIs this boarded up awaiting tear down?
) which I believe made it necessary to tear down.

SPR is in a rough state but it has the bones to be a nice urban commercial street front. When the LRT is complete in a few years time I think this area will really take off. Optimistically in 15 years time it will be as vibrant as 124 st currently is.
