Road construction has been a headache for Edmonton drivers this summer, especially for those on Stony Plain Road and in most of west Edmonton for Valley Line West LRT construction.

I know this would have been difficult but I wish they could have (or maybe still can) get some section of road way opened in its final configuration before the snow falls.

Your kids will develop am mind if their own and you wont be able to control them.

I think this was for warranty work, as each blue flag would represent a landscaping item (shrub, tree etc) that should be there. I might be wrong tho

I assumed it was a watering marker for newly planted plants.

Looks like construction on the guideway on 175 Street will start October 15.

"ETS is on track to move nearly 60 million riders in 2024, up from 53 million riders in 2023. The opening of the 13-kilometre Valley Line Southeast LRT in November 2023 has contributed to this increase by providing another option for riders to reach destinations between Mill Woods and downtown. Nearly two million trips have been taken on Valley Line Southeast LRT between November 2023 and August 2024."

Glad to see Valley Line ridership pickup from 138,000 in November and 145,800 in January to 223,000 in April. Almost 2 million riders to August indicates they've been averaging around that mark since.

Does anyone recall what the original ridership forecast was for Valley Line SE? And how that compares to these new stats?

28,000 per weekday, we're at roughly a third of that number as of April.
