Cool! Red Bellied Woodpecker. Not rare but not as common as other woodpeckers.Working in my back yard this afternoon, I noticed a large area of wood chips at the base of a tree. It looked like someone had been using a chain saw. WTF?

There are some in High Park that can be seen and even more frequently heard (a bird sound app on your phone can identify their noise if you don't recognize it).... to find a Red Bellied Woodpecker on your property, they're relatively rare in Toronto, we're at the northern limit of their range...
Escapee, I should think. Amsterdam has large numbers of parakeets; Toronto is not Amsterdam!Just spotted this little guy hanging out over my front door. Wasn't camera shy.
Not sure it qualifies as 'wildlife' though...
