By historic standards, this building was ordinary at best.
While that's true, I still lament the loss of these two buildings. They added a stately presence to College, and although a facadomy wouldn't be ideal, it would be much better than this course of action. The landscaping and street realm of the first phase is underwhelming, and in contrast to the prior building, is unfit for this area.
An adaptive reuse of the ground level for retail fronting College would've been my personal dream for these buildings.

This building gives me a retro 1960's internationalism vibe. So this site will sit empty for a while, really hope Phase 2 moves forward soon.

I use to have meetings on the 2nd floor, it was decently renovated but still incredibly dated. Also knowing UofT, they move fast. I don't think this site will sit dormant after the demolition
