I recall that there were plans to replace the parking lot that runs between Pier 27 and the Yonge Street slip with a park. Whatever became of that proposal? I spent some time searching on Google but couldn't find any mention of the proposal after around 2018.

The plan for a park or a 'signature building' for the parking lot just east of the Slip is still alive but nothing will be done until the work on QQE happens because part of the slip will be filled in.
