The exposed aggregate look is also ubiquitous on the west coast. Lots of sidewalks like that in Victoria and Vancouver, e.g., https://www.google.com/maps/@48.422...try=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI0MTAyMy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw==
It looks exactly like the kind of concrete used in higher end concrete private driveways. I can’t imagine it’s wildly difficult to replicate.

This is interesting, but I can tell you there are not more than 10-15 people living in that building - shame they leave all those lights on though
When UrbanToronto flips something to "complete", it actually means substantially complete, not totally. The last bits can drag on for months after the building is already occupying, so we take the beginning of occupancy to mean substantial completion. This is interesting, but I can tell you there are not more than 10-15 people living in that building - shame they leave all those lights on though
You should see the comments when Vancouver House appears on Facebook as one of those 'crazy architecture' feeds (showing only the picture on the left). Lots of "how could they allow that", "I wouldn't live there even if you pay me". Likely from people who can't locate Vancouver on the map and are obviously too lazy to google this tower.Saw this thread came up early, wanna throw out a fun fact - Westbank has also developed a Vancouver House and a Calgary House in their Canadian projects.
I had seen the Vancouver House project and the building looks pretty cool - I think Toronto House looks good but definitely is a lot less interesting. I do know some ppl don't like the curvy architecture.
Interesting to hear your thoughts?

For real? The building actually looks a lot crazier in renderings than in real life. I was shocked when I first saw the renderings like 10+ years ago. When I went to visit a few years back, it was just like "oh cool".You should see the comments when Vancouver House appears on Facebook as one of those 'crazy architecture' feeds (showing only the picture on the left).
