Without a doubt. Although I still find myself wishing they'd built an off-off broadway sized theatre in the podium.

The big question mark for me is still how they plan on executing the bands around the tower. If it's just fritted glass, this tower will be a big disappointment in my books.

The bands will likely be metal (or some similarly durable material) and will be applied to the exterior after the glass has been installed.

I was told the bands were glass and were going to be mounted prior to installation, just like at Ice. I suppose it could've changed tho

This is going to be quite nice. Took 13 stories to start to make an impact in the area. Glass bands sound like they can make it or break it.

beautiful. but how awkward will this be standing next to the Mirvish towers if they are built to their proposed height. Such a sleek and slender tower will be dominated and thrown off the scale next to it's neighbours
