The entire 462 Wellington West parking lot has now been closed off and Verve's Park Retirement Residence appears about to start construction. Building permit for structural work within the heritage building to support the new facility was been issued on November 3 while the Mechanical, Plumbing and the Drain and Site Servicing permits are Issuance Pending (i.e. waiting on payment). May 5, 2026 - The Park Retirement Residence at 462 Wellington Street West is now fully under construction. Hoarding is now in place along both the 462 building's Wellington Street frontage is now in place, as well as for the Cats Parkette next door, which the 462 Wellington project has arrangements with the City to use as a construction work and staging area.
