The old theatre where GoodLife is now was a Famous Players. I believe it closed around the time that Famous Players opened up Coliseum because it became redundant for Famous Players to have 2 theatres so close together.
I’m old enough to remember famous and when amc came in. I’m just not familiar with Mississauga because I grew up on the east end.
When I google seating distance this is what I got. “For a 100-inch TV, the recommended viewing distance is roughly 11.2 feet(341 cm). This distance allows for a comfortable and immersive viewing experience without straining your eyes.” I think quite a bit of people have that space in the suburbs.
Just for fun let’s look at cineplex (canadas leading theatre) and AMC (americas leading theatre) stock prices. Maybe there won’t be any theatres and that makes me depressed.
