The density here is probably more appropriate than city place to be honest. 2 modes of high capacity transit are within walking distance.

That's taking access to high order transit to stratospheric levels. Cityplace is in walking distance to the largest concentrations of employment and amenities in the city. These proposals are an expansion of hyper residential subdivision densities in low rises neighbourhoods as if the 1972 Transit Oriented Developments like Main Square or Crescent Town are models of great success.

There really should be a tunnel/path connection through/under this development to connect Danforth GO Station and Main Street Station. That walk down Main is cumbersome, especially in the winter. We should be doing more to make transit connections easier and more accessible for users.
I keep saying this in the hopes I can will it into being. Bare minimum, if there were a pedestrian tunnel running from Main station just under Danforth, you could have people resurface then continue south to the GO with a less expensive aboveground covered walkway which would STILL be better than anything currently planned.

On this topic if they don't do this could the city at least figure out a way to bring the bus stop back to the SE corner of Main and Danforth. It got moved east on Danforth so now coming from the GO stations it's either a longer walk to that stop or waiting for the light to cross Danforth, it only adds couple minutes at most (maybe even less), but for my usual use of Danforth GO (taking the GO train from Union and switching to route 23 northbound) I've missed the bus because of this :(.

If there was a way to walk straight North from the middle of the Danforth GO platforms to get to the new bus stop over the shortest distance (see red arrow below), that would also work.

Yes I am complain about an extra 150 m or so of walking, but it sucks to miss the bus by 30 seconds lol.

It looks like there is space for this between this building and the three to the West? Am I correct?

This one still leaves me in a surprised state. A 200m tower so far from a "City Centre" type area. I know others are proposed similar, but this one is in my hood.

Resubmitted with the following changes:
  • Storeys decreased from 57 to 40, height decreased from 194.55 to 141.55m
  • Total proposed units decreased from 533 to 452
  • Total vehicular parking increased from 59 to 69
  • Total bicycle parking decreased from 587 to 508

^^^^ Much more reasonable.

Significantly more/larger family units, and the reduced height will increase sunlight to the new park to the north allowing for mature trees and a more enjoyable community space. Win-Win.
