After months of inactivity, some signs of progress. The two buildings on Nelson Street East were just torn down, and there are builders’ banners on the fencing. But the vacant Church Street houses are still standing.
The long-vacant brick house at 7 Church Street will be temporarily repurposed as a sales office; it will be converted to residential use in the final phase of the development.
I was worried that this project was completely dormant, but work should start later this year.
There's a building permit application being reviewed now. Finally, some new private sector construction in Downtown Brampton. A demolition permit has also been granted for the old service station/vacant Aren't We Naughty store.
