As the owner of the site across the street (Starskys), I am very happy to see this approved. We are already zoned high density mixed use on our site with a max height of 12 floors. This will allow us to go minimum 17 and possibly higher.

WAIT please tell me Starsky's isn't going to be closing for a condo building. It's by far the best grocery store in the city

Do not worry, they have lots of term on their lease and will be part of any new development.
Please, please, please make sure they have a spot in the development! Also include lots of retail. This area will totally be a hub in the east end of the city in the future. My dad lived in an apartment in this area and would've killed for a more walkable neighbourhood!

Site Plan Application here: DA-24-052

To construct a mixed-use development featuring a 17-storey residential tower with 3 levels of underground parking, and 417 m² of retail along Queenston Rd. Includes 236 total parking spaces, 230 bicycle parking spaces, and 319 total dwelling units.

Applied Date: October 17, 2024.

Does anyone know if the construction of this project has commenced yet? Also when is the project expected to be complete?

If you were to call into LJM sales department, what are they telling everyone, LJM has had a plot and land across the street from St Francis, they have been sitting on the that land for 4-5 years, now with the current condo market where it is at, I can't see that being started any time soon, but not sure about this development and current sales, if I had had to guess on the next development starting east of the Redhill, I would guess this one or Paradigm starting, but obviously I don't know any sales figures for any developments.
