I attended the community meeting they had a few weeks ago and wanted to share what they are saying the construction will look like between now and 2029. A lot of concerns were brought up mainly around safety for pedestrians and bikes with the closures that they are proposing. As well as minimizing the impacts to the community. The name change was also brought up. Honestly the metrolinx people didnt have much to say but it was good to see these plans.

What a horrible plan. If this were in China this would be built offsite and pieced together in a month on site. 8+ years of construction is utter insanity - and is quite literally slower than underground station building could’ve been. Good old Metro stinx
