Outside of an eglinton crosstown levels of delays ...2041 would be a joke.

Ontario line is very much looking at an early 2030s completion date. Until we have evidence of the contrary there's no need to speculate beyond that.

Lol I did say early 2030s for a reason.

Imo that means anything before 2035.

Which means suggesting 2041 is waaay out of line with the facts on the ground.

2041 is excessive pessimism though we do have numbers now to conclude that it’s unlikely to be 2031.

Queen (Yonge) station is on track to be finished in late 2030 or early 2031 which wouldn’t allow time for testing unless tunnel and finished stations testing are done concurrently while finishing the stations that are behind.

That said, the potential for deficiencies in an interchange station as complex as Queen that connects to another subway line and is itself connected to a mall and 3 other buildings directly, is virtually guaranteed. How much time do we allow for deficiencies? At least another year, maybe more if they’re as bad as Eglinton which was far less complex to build than the Ontario Line.

If I had to put my money down: 2033.

There isn't much we can do to influence the pace of construction, it will be what it is.

What can be influenced is being transparent now, so expectations remain reasonable.

I don't want to see us going through the same two years of pain from 2033 onwards that we just went through with Crosstown. "When will it open? What's taking so long?"

Set transparent expectations now, and follow up with periodic updates that are honest and complete.

Now that one of the TBM machines is almost fully assembled at Exhibition, I'm wondering if they would launch one of the first before the other one?
I heard that having 1 TBM lead helps to find any less than ideal soil conditions and gives information for the second TBM

The plan is to start one before the other but last start date announced is Spring, so we probably have another month+ of waiting.
