It's a pure financial issue. Sounds like no confidence in getting sales of those types of units.
Again, i hear a long pause with full redesign above what has already been poured. I would assume no more large rounded terraces with trees, less curved glass imo.

Citation was needed here when making the claim, to which Northern Light-san provided...or it's "I am hearing" for the verification...

I always thought the design looked like a bit of a stretch for a Toronto building.

Didn't mean to sound high-handed there... just wanted more than a simple statement. You know, stuff like photos, documents...
 
Nothing really to add here, but this has been brewing for awhile - long before the KS / Choice buyout. Caused lots of internal consternation at both shops because the idea of building an ultralux condo on spec is real estate suicide. But FC was getting those CM fees so everything looked rosy to their leadership. KS has no interest in continuing down that road so it's all shut down until a new model is decided on. That could be a rental pivot, or it could just be the next Bay Adelaide / MaRS for a few years, that's currently undecided.
 
...I have to say, I am pretty disappointed it had to come to this. Nor do I have the confidence this will be worked out anytime soon.
 
Just coming here to confirm and add to this, it is true, hearing this will be 5-6 stories and all commercial now. Very disappointing!
