The One - Timelien Cropped.jpg

Photos taken today, Friday (Oct. 17). Since my update post from last Saturday, lots of visible progress on the crown of the tower. All 8 of the beams extending the mega-columns have been installed to the presumed final height - 3 were in place last week. Looks like Sauron's crown! And 3 square halos have been attached to each beam, corresponding to levels, it seems. Maybe someone here knows what those are for? Looks very Jetsonsy! Also visible is work on the core portion of the crown, they were assembling part of that today. Down below, the Rail Climbing Systems (RCSs) installing the building's skin are still parked at level 70, where they've been for a few weeks. Since we now see some of the skin on level 72 installed on the south face, perhaps the RCSs are to be removed soon, with the rest of the skin installed with suspended scaffolding? Most of the webbing on the RCSs has been pulled back, though that's not that unusual.

My usual pile of photos, some showing the work on the top, though we'll need some drones to get a better look. The steel-work for the core at top resembles the initial floors some 5 years ago.

The 2nd and 3rd-last photos, tight of the top from the SW, were taken about an hour apart, with some progress visible with the core beams at top.
