I don't think they will those flanges look like they are to attach the cladding of the exoskeleton too though I could be wrong

Last minute switcheroo? Adding spires to a topped off skyscraper has been done before to beat another tower to tallest. 1BW would need a heck of a spire to beat SkyTower though. While those new beams look taller than what was expected for One Bloor’s roof, it doesn’t look tall enough to overtake SkyTower.

Nah, it's more likely that they used temporary steel extensions to get to the 300m mark and have their photo op and bragging rights. Now they've replaced those temporary extensions with the actual permanent ones.

I believe the temporary ones only just reached the 300m mark but these new ones seem to be reaching the final height of 308m.

No spire situation to beat the Sky Tower unfortunately. Also, I don't think Tridel cares so much about the height debate here given the myriad of financial troubles faced. I'm sure they want to complete the building ASAP.

Besides we'd need atleast a 44m tall spire to beat Sky. Too tall IMO to not have planned from the get-go because of the physics involved.
