I was checking out this tower last night and noticed that across the street, One Bloor East had bright lights around the crown that I had not seen before. They were in a random pattern like bright construction lights. I wonder what is going on.

I think the only building that beats this aesthetically currently under construction would be CIBC square

IMO, the only time CIBC square might look nicer is at dusk. That's when those buildings look amazing.

IMO it's one of the few projects that lives up to its pre-construction renders.

Got a lot of reaction a few weeks ago when I posted a photo of some of the tower's crew outside the tower. So, here are some shots of the guy I saw on the crane this past Friday. He was out there when they were attaching one of the crane brackets for the brace on floor 83 or so.... So, he's above that, at about 288 metres / 944 feet up on the side of the crane! Some of these shots aren't that sharp as they are extreme blow-ups...

That guy operating the crane just put something on the top of the building, not sure exactly what it is.

Went over to take a look after I saw the above - viewed from Dundas at Sorauren today, Tuesday (Sept 23). Perhaps that was one reason for the crane to be raised - so the remaining blue scaffolds at the top can be placed on the roof (as seen above) briefly.... anyway, the blue scaffolds are now gone on the west face as work prepares, presumably, for work on the crown. Not sure what that taller object on the left side of the roof is.

I'm pretty sure that the crane was raised in order to build out the crown as the height that it was sitting at would not have given the operator overwatch I think we will see a similar scaffolding configuration at the top as we did when they built the ground floor as all of those supports of the crown will need to be temporarily supported while they are fastened I can't imagine those being light pieces of steel
