Photos taken today, Friday (May 30). Since my last update post from a week ago, work continues on the roof though no visible difference for the past few weeks is apparent, at least from my street-level photos - though it seemed concrete was being poured at the top when I was by today. The blue scaffolding on the corners also are at the same place as before as they are at the base of the 4th mechanical level, floor 77. There's been movement with the Rail Climbing Systems installing the building's skin, with the east RCS up a level to 61, while the west RCS joins the north one at level 60.
And I think Tridel needs someone to rework their verbiage for the building seen at ground level: "The New Stewards of Toronto's Most Prolific Address." "Prolific"? Not sure what that's supposed to mean! How can an address be "prolific"? Did they mean "prominent"? Or how about "problematic"? Just wondering.
With basically just the several RCSs moving up and some new skin on level 61 on the south face being the only street-level-visible changes since last week, I thought I'd do some different views this week as the tower is visible all over (though from the east often obscured by 1 Bloor E!)....
So, I start this time with more familiar views from around Yonge and Charles, one shot showing the east RCS and some new skin, another a tight shot of the crane from Yonge Street, moving to the view from in from of Holt Renfrew on Bloor. Cumberland east of Bay, with a tighter view showing the west RCS joining the north RCS installing the skin on level 60. Next, the view from the NE corner of Yonge and Bloor. On to some different views (at least from yours truly), with a set of shots from the east, though others have posted from here (even today!). A couple from Chester Hill Lookout, overlooking the Don Valley, then another one a bit south of there, off Dartford. Then the view from the Bloor/Prince Edward Viaduct, and from Bloor a bit west of Castle Frank station between other towers. A shot from Wellesley and Church, then from Queen's Park Cres. E and College, finally from Harbord west of St George (note the guy on top while concrete is being poured).
From October, 2020, as above-ground construction started in earnest at The One (1 Bloor W.) in Toronto. More or less a weekly photo usually taken on a Friday, with some gaps during early-on construction hiatuses. The initial photographs are from 2015, during demolition at the site, 2018, during...

Photos of One Bloor West (The One) construction progress, including a "before" shot from 2011 and several from 2015 after the demolition of Stollery's. Notable for becoming Canada's first supertall building, i.e., over 300 metres (985 feet) tall. (The CN Tower does not fall under the definition...
