How will pedestrians WALK from the homes north of Eglinton Avenue West to reach the new community centre? The pedestrian bridge to the east is blocked with a locked gate, unable to go through the "Top of the Humber" complex without a key or fob. Will there be a pedestrian signal crossing to traverse through Notting Hill? This proposal would occupy something like 1/3 of the existing park.

At first blush, I would oppose it, as I would any community centre, ,library, arena or any other building displacing parkland.
I don't like the precedent.
In examining the area, I see a real shortage of tableland park space and sports fields.
I get that the open area currently seems under utilized, but given that it appears to have no programming of any kind (sports field, picnic tables, tennis, etc.) that would hardly seem a surprise.
The size is sufficient to support a soccer pitch, and I imagine that would be in demand of it were delivered; alternatively, it could support a cricket pitch, or some other outdoor amenity.
I'm perfectly fine with more community centres, but I think they should displace parking lots or low-intensity development; something there is no shortage of nearby this location.
What is this supposed to mean? posting an AutoCAD picture of is supposed to be built? please post real pictures if you've got any
No.you mean Feb 20th of 2026?
There's a path just west of the bridge, connecting Richview Road to Eglinton, then to access the bridge there are stairs up from Eglinton. The only locked gate is the access to the Top of the Humber's private property. How will pedestrians WALK from the homes north of Eglinton Avenue West to reach the new community centre? Thanks , when is the expected closing date for phase 1?
Have you tried contacting Lanterra? Is there something in particular giving you pause (incommunication on their end, perhaps)?I would appreciate it if anyone could help me out here. I bought a unit back in 2019 and paid the 20% down payment. Call me paranoid, but after all these years, I want to make sure I will actually receive my unit. I do have the contract—how can I ensure everything is in place and that I’ll get what I paid for?
The last communication i got form them was them sent an email about "Please note that the Notting Hill Sales Office located at 4000 Eglinton is permanently closed to make way for construction progress" and giving information about drop off optionsHave you tried contacting Lanterra?
