Maybe it could be built near Vaughan Mills. With the mall, Wonderland, and all those proposed condo projects, making for a higher-density suburban entertainment district, Vaughan could use it to ask for an even-further-north subway extension!

^too late, they have already started asking. (and metrolinx has very obviously declined, the Jane bus right now has something like 2,000 daily users in Vaughan)

I think everyone is imagining a massive amusement park like Wonderland. This project would be fun for families but at this size it's not a "world class" attraction, just something fun for people in the GTA to visit. I'm imagining if they can't get a good arrangement with a government agency or downtownish hotel they will definitely look to locate in the suburbs.

This bigger than this project in New Jersey ($23 million, 58,000 square feet, 2009)
